Bricklaying 101

Some of the members of the Watoto Mission Team spent the morning learning how to lay bricks. It takes more than eight thousand bricks to build a Watoto home. We had a good teacher. Danny West patiently demonstrated the art of bricklaying, and let us get our hands dirty at his shop in New Haven. It was great fun to work together and build a wall, and we learned many useful tips that we will take with us to Africa at the end of the month. Thanks for sharing you time and talent with us Danny.

Building with enduring materials ... seems to me that your team is doing that in more ways than one. (1 Cor 3!) God be with you as you continue to learn how to be "God's fellow workers" and "expert builders" (1 Cor 3:9, 10). Edifying = building up. Be encouraged as you lay bricks for the great Architect!

Thanks for that encouragement, Keith. It is a good connection too... seems we are learning all kinds of life lessons as we prepare for this adventure! We know we are already blessed even before we leave home
