Teamwork

There are many people involved in building a house: carpenters, plumbers, and electricians to name a few.
Our Long Creek To Watoto project is no different. It is a team effort! We're building a home in Uganda. First, we have to raise the money needed to finance the project.

So we've broken it down into six teams. Five of the teams are named after some of the children who visited us in the spring with the Watoto Choir. Their names are Rachel, Vivian, Moses, Innocent, and Mary. Their goal is to raise $6000 each, for a total of $30,000; enough for a home for eight children and a house mother. Some of the money will go toward the building of a school, walkways, and other amenities vital to a village.

We believe none of this is possible without prayer. So that's why we have a sixth team. Team David represents our 'Prayer Warriors'. Of course you don't have to join a team to pray for us, this project, and the children of Uganda. Over the coming months there will be lots of opportunity to get involved with one of our teams. We invite and encourage you to join us on this exciting journey. You can also help by supporting our fundraising events. We'll be posting some important dates, as well as telling you more about our teams and their plans.
