When you look at the smiling faces of the Watoto Childrens' Choir what do you see? Do you see doctors, teachers, nurses, and pilots? When they visited the Island that's what some of the choir members said they wanted to be when they grow up. That's what's so amazing about Watoto. Children who were once without parents, without homes, and without hope are now filled with hope, love and dreams for the future. Isn't God awesome! Take another look at the picture. Do you see the next generation of Ugandan leaders?
We have some awesome kids in our church and community. They're excited about building a home in Uganda and sending a team to Africa next spring. Our LC Youth Group, members of Team Vivian, were the first to pitch in by donating $1500 to the cause. And some of the children in our Kid's Church are selling water so eight orphans will have a place to live.
They're an example to all of us in the way they live, in their love, and in their faith. Let's follow their lead and do what we can to support them.
